Welcome to the Land of the Sky Estate Planning Council !

The Council is composed of professionals in Western North Carolina who are actively involved in assisting clients with estate planning. The Council meets four times per year, September through May.

Meetings take place at the Country Club of Asheville, beginning with a social reception at 5:30pm followed by dinner. A Council Officer presents a brief update on recent developments, particularly tax changes. An informative talk from an estate planning expert follows. Occasionally the presentation will be a panel discussion, with panel members drawn from our Council membership.

Council membership is open to accountants, attorneys, Certified Financial Planner professionals, CLU insurance agents, corporate trust officers and qualified fundraising professionals. Prospective members must have at least two years experience in their field and must be proposed for membership by a current member. Annual dues are $50 (paid before or at the September meeting), and reservations for each dinner meeting may be made by credit card through this webpage.
